Free Tax Preparation:

If your income is under $50,000 and you are interested in free tax preparation, please dial 2-1-1 for more information about tax preparation sites in your area.  Vermont 2-1-1 is partnering with the CASH Colaition and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program to promote free tax preparation throughout Vermont.  Callers from Chittenden County can be directly transferred to a tax appointment scheduler for tax sites within the county.  Callers may also learn about Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC).  (Note: Tax preparation calls amounted to 1,696 calls during the first 3.5 months of 2009).
 

2009 H1N1 Flu (Swine Flu):

Vermont 2-1-1 is working closely with the Vermont Department of Health and Vermont Emergency Management to help provide public information about H1N1 Flu (Swine Flu).  General questions about H1N1 Flu or other health concerns related to the outbreak can be answered by dialing 2-1-1.
