Community Resource Specialist Remote

The United Ways of Vermont/Vermont 211 is seeking full time (37.5 hrs/wk) Community Resource Specialists for our evening shift (4pm-12am), with some flexibility to occasionally cover during daytime hours

The VT 211 Community Resource Specialist is part of a team that responds to incoming calls from the public to provide information and referrals to vital community resources. Calls range from requests for simple information to complex cases with multiple needs including supporting emergency housing for people in Vermont experiencing homelessness.

The ideal candidate will have emotional intelligence, empathy, attention to detail, and a passion for helping others. This is a remote position and requires strong communication and self-motivation. Given the nature of the work, the ability to make and hold boundaries is necessary.

Candidates should be tech savvy as this role requires computer experience and the ability to navigate database software. To work remotely the candidate must have a dedicated computer with a minimum of 16gb of RAM.

contact center shift supervisor

The United Ways of Vermont/Vermont 211 is seeking full time (37.5 hrs/wk) Contact Center Shift Supervisor for our evening shift (4pm-12am), with some flexibility to occasionally cover during daytime hours. The supervisor leads a team that responds to incoming calls from the public to provide information and referrals to vital community resources. Calls range from requests for simple information to complex cases with multiple needs including supporting emergency housing for people in Vermont experiencing homelessness.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience leading, supporting, and building a team. The supervisor will support the Program Manager with effective communication with state partners and data and reporting requirements. They must demonstrate emotional intelligence, empathy, attention to detail, and a passion for helping others. This is a remote position and requires strong communication and self-motivation. Given the nature of the work, the ability to make and hold boundaries is necessary.
